A place with history
For more than a century, this corner has been a place where people arrive and meet. After decades as a hotel and inn, it became Wellfleet’s Post Office, then the Left Bank Print Gallery, before the building that stands here now. The uses have changed, but the corner has remained part of town life.

Early 1900s
The grand hotel stood at the corner of Main Street and Briar Lane, welcoming travelers at the turn into town.
Later years
The same hotel became the Mona Bina Inn and Café. Period photographs show its porches busy with guests, flags, and touring cars.
Mid-century
After the hotel was torn down, a new post office was built on the site around 1960.
Later
The post-office-era building later became the Left Bank Print Gallery, continuing the corner’s creative life.
June 2, 2015
A fire destroyed the building, closing one chapter of the property’s long history.
Today
SICKDAY, 3 West Main Gallery, Gelato Joy, and Ebenezer House carry the corner forward as a place to gather, make, shop, and stay.
